KNRC in TÜRKIYE In the wake of the devastating earthquakes that struck Türkiye in early February 2023, The Republic of Korea National Red Cross (KNRC) has been actively collaborating with the Turkish Red Crescent (TRC), the largest humanitarian organization in Türkiye, to provide crucial support to those affected. Through our joint programs with TRC, we have reached more than 500,000 individuals in the earthquake-affected areas. Our diverse initiatives, including the Korean-Turkish Friendship Container City Construction, Food and Nutrition Security, Livelihoods support, Vehicle Fleet Capacity Enhancement, Blood Donation Center and Community Service Centers Reconstruction and Reinforcement, aim not only to address the immediate needs of earthquake survivors, Turkish communities, and various other vulnerable groups requiring humanitarian assistance, but also to support mid-term recovery effots and contribute to sustainable development. |
