○ Eligibility Criteria for Blood Donation by Foreign Nationals (Updated January 1, 2024)

A. You must have lived in Korea for over one year to donate blood (excluding any time spent on overseas travel). However, if you are exempt from ailen registation (e.g., A-1, A-2, and A-3 visa holders), you can donate blood after residing in Korea for one month

- If you have traveled abroad for a total of more than 90 days within the past year, you'll need to wait an additional year from your return date

- Additionally, if you have traveled overseas wuthin one month, you can donate blood four weeks after your return.

B. You must be able to speak Korean as the interview will be conducted in Korean

- Only our staff or third-party interpreters (no family or coworkers) may assist.

C. You must have a valid ID card to participate in blood donation. Accepted forms include alien registration, domestic residence certificates, domestic driver's license, permanent resident card, and ID card issued by USFK. A passport is also valid if you are exempt from alien registration.

- In special cases, such as being an ambassador, the requirement for valid ID card may be waived after a thorough review by the blood center.

D. You must meet all of the above criteria to be eligible to donate blood.

E. Please note that the final of your eligibility will be conducted at the center.
