Invitation for Inter-Korean Separated Family was held in Gyeongnam Province

  - The reception for comforting, 2 years after last event in Gyeongnam-

 

The Republic of Korea National Red Cross(KNRC, President Park Kyung-Seo), and The Ministry of Unification(Minister Kim Yeon-cheol) co-hosted a reception at 11 a.m on Tuesday, June 4 to comfort the people who have not been beneficiary for the reunion of inter-Korean separated family yet. It was held at the Grand Mercure Ambassador Hotel in Changwon, Gyeongnam Province.

Including several separated family members from Gyeongnam, Pusan and governmental officials, about 160 people were invited to the event. Also, Kim Jong-kil, the chairman of the KNRC Gyeongnam branch office and the officials from the Minstry of Unification attended. It was held with a briefing of inter-Korean policy and cultural performances.

 

¡Ø The remaining inter-Korean separated family members in Gyeongnam Province

¡æ 1,286 residents (54,891 throughout the country, Integrated information system for separated families)

This reception came two years after the Ministry of Unification and KNRC held an event in 2017 to invite separated families in Gyeongnam Province. A total of 10 events will be held in various parts of the country in 2019 and will be held in Gangwon Province in June.
