Drafter Administrator Date 2015-07-02 Hits 3143

In the first half of 2015, 1,994,464 units of blood products for transfusion were supplied, which had decreased by 2.8% compared to the same period of 2014(2,051,428 units).

The supply of red cells, platelets, and fresh frozen plasma reduced by 0.6%. 11.5%, and 2.2% respectively. in particular, red cells supply shows a downward trend since the supply of plateletpheresis increases every year. However, the supply of platelets increased by 3.8% when one unit of plateletpheresis was converted into six units of platelets.

The supply of leukocyte reduced red cells, cryoprecipitate, and leukocyte reduced plateletpheresis increased by 16%, 3.6%, and 26.1% respectively. Specifically, the supply of leukocyte reduced red cells and leukocyte reduced plateletpheresis has been continuously rising every year.
